Life as a Public Sector worker is set to change for many under new IR35 legislation.

From 6th April 2017 the public sector employer or agency that engages the worker, will have to review the employment status of each worker. A decision then must be made whether or not to deduct tax and national insurance from payments made to workers even though he or she invoices for the services through their own company.

This change is likely to affect a large proportion of the Public Sector, with many currently paid on a contractual basis.

These changes are real and possibly one of the biggest shake ups in recent history and will be felt in real terms by many.
